GLOBAL EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR NYLON FABRICS

General Manager, Ordnance Parachute Factory Kanpur invites Expression of Interest from manufacturers of Nylon Fabrics for supply of Nylon fabrics of varied specifications on long term basis directly or through authorized dealers / agents for manufacture of various types of Parachutes.

Broad Specifications of Fabrics are:

- Polyamides conforming to either Nylon 66, GRAMS PER SQUARE METRE

(GSM) – 32, 37, 46, 48, 52, 58, 93, 109, 136, 160, 180, 185, 370

- Fabrics should have permanent silicon finish

- Weave – Plain / Twill / Rip Stop

- Colour – Dyed or un-dyed

- Other parameters – Air Porosity, thickness, breaking load, elongation, tearing strength, tex of yarn etc. shall be specific to each fabric

Besides conformance to technical specifications, the fabrics must be free from visual aberrations, blemishes, deformities and defects on the surface texture.

Expression of Interest for Nylon Fabric

General Manager, Ordnance Parachute Factory, Kanpur invites Expression of Interest from manufacturers of Nylon Fabrics possessing criteria as enumerated below for supply of Nylon fabrics of varying specification on long term basis for manufacture of Parachutes, Garments and other end products for the Indian Armed Forces.

Broad specification of Fabrics are-

- Polyamides conforming to either Nylon Type 6 or Type 6/6;

- GSM – 32, 37, 46, 48, 52, 58, 93, 109, 136, 160, 180, 185, 370;

- Few fabrics are PU coated;

- Weave – Plain / Twill / RSW

- Colour – Dyed or undyed

- Other parameters – Air Porosity, thickness, breaking load, elongation, Tex of yarn shall be specific to each fabric.

The manufacturers should possess the following criteria:

a.  i. Facility to produce fabric from filament;

ii.Weaving and processing facilities in single PAN identity.

b.  For coated fabric:

i. Coating facilities
