Quality
Quality is deeply ingrained in the management practices of the Ordnance Factories.
Implementation of Total Quality Management (TQM) concept has been our major thrust area.
Quality System Certification
ISO 9001:2000 : All Ordnance Factories are ISO 9001:2000 certified. Further six of them
are certified for ISO:14001:1996 EMS. Out of these six factories two have switched over to ISO 14001:2004 standards.
Accreditation of Testing and Calibration Facilities
33 factories have 58 well established testing labs accredited to ISO:IEC:17025:1999 by NABL.One of the
factories, HEF has successfully cleared the NABL surveillance audit as per the new standard
ISO/IEC/17023:2005.
Golden Peacock National Quality Awards
Ordnance Factory, Ambajhari won Golden Peacock National Quality Award, 2003.
Ordnance Factory, Ambajhari won Golden Peacock National Quality Award, 1999.
Ordnance Equipment Factory, Kanpur won Golden Peacock National Quality Award, 1998.

Ordnance Factory Institute of Learning, Ishapore won the Golden Peacock National Training Award, 2005.
Ordnance Factory Institute of Learning, Khamaria won the Golden Peacock National Training Award, 2004.
Ordnance Factory Institute of Learning, Ambajhari won the Golden Peacock National Training Award, 2003.
Other Awards
Ordnance Factory Ambernath has won the first prize in the National Quality
Competition organised by Indian Institute of Metals in 2005 in the category of
secondary processing / fabrication plants of non-ferrous products.
OCFS has been short listed for Rajiv Gandhi National Award for the year.
